01The problem
Police and security agencies need regular, legally grounded training for officers who rarely sit at a computer — and proof of completion that holds up officially. The client had the course content and a design, but nothing to deliver it, sell it to whole agencies or prove who had finished.
02What I did
- 01Turned the design into a working WordPress and LearnDash platform: 30 courses across 8 categories, each with eight short lessons, a quiz after every lesson and a final exam — built for phones first.
- 02Set up agency subscriptions with WooCommerce and Stripe: plans tiered by agency size, monthly or annual, where the buyer names their group and picks a number of seats at checkout.
- 03Gave each agency its own group, with dashboards for group leaders, instructors and admins to see enrolments, progress and completions across a whole team.
- 04Wrote a custom course catalogue plugin — search, category and completion filters, sorting, an 'All / My courses' switch and infinite scroll, with a separate filter panel on mobile.
- 05Set up certificate verification with unique IDs and QR codes using LearnDash Certificate Verify & Share, then built a small scanner plugin on top so anyone can check a certificate straight from their phone's camera.
- 06Added a custom quiz progress counter and restyled the account area — certificates, subscriptions, orders — so learners always know where they stand.
03Result
Built from scratch in the first months of 2026 and now live with the full course library loaded. It's waiting on the regulatory approval needed before the first agencies sign up.
